Experience wildlife up close. Ramsey Island has one of the largest grey seal breeding populations in Britain. The Gower Ranger is a traditional open boat that will take you around the island stopping off at small coves and passing under high cliffs.
Ramsey Island is an unspoilt island nature reserve and your guide will share information about the island and its wildlife. The island is home to various breeding colonies, including; guillemots and razorbills, fulmars and kittiwakes.
If you take a trip from September to October, then there is every chance you can view seal pups.
If you choose to venture further offshore then it possible that you will observe whales and dolphins. If you choose to take a trip to Skomer Island then you will discover the Puffins. Grassholm Island is home to over 40,000 pairs of breeding gannets.
Boat trips leave from the old RNLI Lifeboat Station at St Justinians. which is also an interesting place to visit.
St Justinians is a 2 mile drive west of St Davids, through narrow country lanes. When you arrive at St Justinians, there are just two free parking bays at the end of the road, these can often be full by 9am during the busy season. There is a large pay-and-display car park situated next to Rhosson Chapel on the left before you reach the free parking.
